Battery waste should be process in properly because waste battery contain of heavy metal and dangerous chemical that should be process first before disposed. The heavy metal contain on battery is depend on the kind of the battery use.

In the carbon-zinc battery after use this battery will result of zinc substance with manganese. Heavy metal contain on this kind of battery are manganese and zinc. Le-Clanche battery will expel of reaction rest zinc chloride solution, and zinc rest of reaction include of heavy metal. Automotive battery usually use two type, wet cell type and dry cell type. Wet cell type usually use plumbum as electrode and sulfuric acid as electrolyte chemicals. Plumbum is heavy metal and sulfuric acid is reactive and corrosive chemical, that include of dangerous chemical if exposed to us.Dry cell battery use zinc and carbon as the electrode but use MnO₂ as electrolyte chemicals.

As the environmental regulation all battery type include in dangerous waste and should be process by waste process company before dispose.
